In the spirit of Easter, I wanted to spotlight some of my favorite table-scape and overall fantasy-scape designs. In the Netherlands, look for easter eggs (paaseieren) and the easter bunny (paas haas!) or small chocolate easter eggs on display.
“When you’re from Holland, you either have to do something very exceptional or very strange.” Editor, Gert Jonker’s quote has always resonated with me. Here are some superstar designs from this Northern European region— a place that seems to breed innovation.
These Animal serving platters are oldies but goodies when it comes to Dutch designs. Since their popularity, it’s not hard to find equally animal-centric tableware. Imm living is a great source for your not-so-typical housewares— perfect for Easter entertainment.
Marcel Wanders is a quintessential figure when discussion about Dutch design arises. Best known for his ability to marry trend with longevity, Wanders creates real-life dreamscapes. (Check out my post on Miami to visit other work by him)
